Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal EW Analyst Engineer/Sr. Principal EW Analyst Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.
This position may be filled by either at the Principal EW Analyst Engineer level OR at the Sr. Principal EW Analyst Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.
The EW Analyst Engineer reports to the Electronic Warfare System (EWS) Lead and is responsible for developing and maintaining data analysis products in Python, MATLAB and C++. Analyst assists with the planning, coordination, and analysis supporting subsystem development, integration, test, production, and support flight test operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as preliminary design studies, primary design analysis, and integrated system design analysis.
* Create analysis products supporting fielding of the system, airworthiness activity, and testing of the system.
* Will coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced.
* Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
Candidate must demonstrate technical understanding in the field of RF spectrum operations as well as knowledge of other related disciplines. The candidate must have effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present technical information. The EW Analyst Engineer will frequently collaborate with technical leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and flight testing.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal EW Analyst Engineer (T03):
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
* Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
* Experience in RF/EW applications, including model development/application in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++, tracking, algorithm integration and development
* Experience in RF, ES and/or EA applications
* Experience in developing and implementing EW systems
* Effectively demonstrate understanding of fundamental RF principles
Basic Qualifications:
Sr. Principal EW Analyst Engineer (T04):
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
* Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the compan

Salary Range: $95,300 - $142,900
Salary Range 2: *$118,600 - $178,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
