As a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of operating system administration, web app design, and security monitoring tools.
Success in this role requires strong problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities may include:

Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
* Analyzing total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainment.
* Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline AND 5 years of qualifiable professional/military experience in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of qualifiable professional/military experience in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline; OR PhD in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience
* Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
* Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the start of employment
* Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience in the managing Windows Server and Desktop systems
* Demonstrated experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
* Demonstrated experience in implementing access controls and utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to detect and respond to security incidents.
* \Proficiency in the administration of Atlassian, Coverity, and Fortify web applications, with a focus on the identification and resolution of performance issues.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with DevOps Processes and Cloud Infrastructure
* Systems administration experience, to include Windows, Linux, and VM environments
* Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
Salary Range: $101,900 - $152,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
