Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Configuration Management Analyst for a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic position to support our Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit (OU) located in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities:
Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings and technical plans and procedures to ensure customer contract requirements are met
* Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
* Prepares and submits Contract Deliverables (CDRL) documentation and provides reporting and metrics to Management and Quality Mission Assurance
* Collaborates with program stakeholders in the review and analysis of proposed engineering change requests and coordinates changes with engineering and quality mission assurance (QMA)
* Maintains the as-built configuration records for hardware and software
* Maintains Configuration Management (CM) repositories in SharePoint and other enterprise systems
* Serves as Software Configuration Management (SWCM) team member performing configuration identification, change control, auditing and reporting, and the receiving and delivery (both internally and externally) of developed software products, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software
* Establishes and maintains product baselines
* Maintains CM repositories
* Manages change records and facilitates Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB) meetings
* Maintains the as-built configuration records
* Collaborates with program engineering leads and QMA team by appropriately controlling (both internally and externally developed) software and associated documentation as products go through the software development cycle
* Supports Test Readiness Reviews, and CDRL deliveries
* Collects and analyzes CM metrics to identify areas for process improvement and to measure throughput and team performance
* Reinforces a culture of innovation and automation, propagating this vision to other teams
* Contributes to the development of software configuration standards
* Trains software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards
* Completes job duties with minimal or no supervision
* Occasionally works extended hours to meet deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of hardware and/or software configuration/data management experience
* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of hardware and/or software configuration/data management experience
* Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of hardware and/or software configuration/data management experience
* PhD with a minimum of 1 year of hardware and/or software configuration/data management experience
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
* Demonstrate knowledge of CM principles, concepts, practices, and standards
* Experience working within defined engineering & development processes
* Experience as a Data Manager
* Contract Deliverable Requirements Listing (CDRL) management and submission experience
* Must be able to work on-site in Orlando, Florida
* Must be able to travel occasionally (up to 10% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret security clearance
* Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC) certified
* National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) certified
* Previous experience with DoD programs
* Previous experience with Six Sigma process improvement techniques
* Experience with International standards organizations bodies (i.e. IEEE, SISO, AS9100)
* Experience with Agile development
* Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite
* Proficiency in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
* Experience with software release and Build process
* Experience with commercial hardware and software configuration management products
* Experience with SQL queries
* Experience with SharePoint
Salary Range: $78,700 - $118,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
