Hours: Mon. - Fri. 7:30 am - 4:00 pm - Nurse Practitioner will have the opportunity to work an alternate work day schedule if preferred (9/80).

The Nurse Practitioner 3 will be experienced in occupational and environmental health services and assume overall responsibility for all OSHA program medical requirements (e.g. respiratory protection, hearing conservation, etc.) and responsible for the protection of individuals from occupational and environmental hazards, illness and injury prevention, and health promotion. They will maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing health and safety for employees and the environment.
Description of Nurse Practitioner 3 Duties:
Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
* Deliver OSHA required physicals and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
* Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
* Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers. The nurse practitioner will work to create preventative measures that ensure the health and safety of employees,
* Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
* Serve as the Health Care Provider supporting the Northrop Grumman MS sector
* Develop medical protocols, processes, programs and standing orders for all nine (9) MS sites with occupational health support.
* Review and interpret external occupational health clinic results and reports, including history/physical, EKG, labwork, spirometry and audiograms.
* Act as a resource to nurses in First Aid treatment of employee injuries and illnesses including triage and disposition.
* Partner with EAP, HR and Mgmt. and when required, contact external providers to address health issues and concerns that impact the safety and ability to function for employees in the workplace.
* Oversee current medical practices related to working with hazardous materials or maintenance of health and safety standards (OSHA Programs).
Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral Nursing Program Degree
* Nurse Practitioner License in the State of MD
* BLS Certification
Preferred:
Occupational Health Experience
* Licensed medical examiner certified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) to perform DOT/CDL physicals
* NIOSH (spirometry certification) CAOHC (audiogram certification)
Salary Range: *$127,400 - $191,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
