Networking Technology Professionals, We Want You!
The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) support organization.
Note- The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our facility/campus. This is not a virtual position.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintains smooth operation of classified network.
* Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in support of customer requirements.
* Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
* Proposes solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
* Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
* Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
* Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems.
* Install and configure Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
* Implement and troubleshoot LAN technologies such as VLANs, Trunking (port tagging), Spanning-Tree, and Port Security.
* Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems.
* Able to design and implement an enterprise network. Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds

Basic Qualifications (for a Level 3):
Master's Degree with 3 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of IT experience is required
* Must have work experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
* Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date as a condition of continued employment
* Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
* Ability to work after hours, and weekends, as needed
* Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a recent Polygraph [based on a closed investigation date completed within the last 5 years] in order to be considered

* Must have work experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
* Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date as a condition of continued employment
* Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
* Ability to work after hours, and weekends, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree Network Engineering, Security+ CE, a Cisco CCNP, and 8 years of Network design, analysis, and administration experience with routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls in a classified environment
* Experience in the use of network analysis tools (i.e. WireShark, SolarWinds, Opnet, etc.)
* Experience with configuring TACLANES
* CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or other Cisco certifications
* Previous experience troubleshooting network procedures and best practices; experience with network challenges associated with systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis and system architecture design
* Demonstrated leadership skills, or previous management of small teams, would be helpful

Salary Range: $95,800 - $143,600
Salary Range 2: *$119,200 - $178,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
