Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer supporting research and development as the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) MS&A Lead based out of Roy, Utah or San Diego, California. A competitive relocation may be offered on this position.
What you'll get to do:
Lead the MS&A efforts for the NC3 mission area supporting the USAF Cooperative Research and Development Agreement
* Work with multi-disciplinary team members from numerous NG locations
* Provide project technical leadership related to the NC3 mission area
* Set the model direction for all NC3 related efforts and communicate standards and architecture guidance to the team
* Present to government representatives regarding our NC3 results based on MS&A
* Produce mission engineering models, simulations, and analyses that support the research and development efforts
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 10 years' experience; PhD with 8 years' experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
* 4+ years proven technical expertise with model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
* 3 years of experience leading a technical team to produce modeling, simulation, and analysis products
* 2 years of experience with command, control, and communications enterprise systems
* 2 years of experience with modeling and simulation tools such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) or Ansys Systems Tool Kit (STK)
* 1 years of experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python
* 1 year of experience with Agile scrum teams and the Atlassian Tool Suite (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
* Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline
* Experience with NC3 systems and/or processes
* Experience with the USAF strategic command, control, and communications mission
* Experience with systems engineering modeling for other strategic NG programs such as Minuteman III, Sentinel, B-2, B-21, AEHF, OPIR, etc.
* Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: *$147,700 - $221,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
