This is both a functional management position with direct reports and a Project Leadership position supporting our Tactical Space Systems Division.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversees all material control and logistics operations while supporting multiple program requirements.
Has the ability to communicate clearly while interfacing and providing support to departments including purchasing/subcontracts, logistics, planning, engineering, programs, production control, and all other levels of employees and management.
Is the subject matter expert providing guidance on material and equipment handling, processing, packaging, and storage required for the transport or movement of critical high value space hardware.
Has proven leadership skills and experience managing multiple tasks from inception to completion of assigned task.
Represents NG during various internal and external material control audits.
Has ability to make independent decisions, is self-motivated, possesses excellent communication skills, is a detail-oriented team player, and is willing and able to work extended hours as necessary.
Is experienced with working with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and NASA customers.
Supervises (20-30) employees who use a wide variety of material handling equipment to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the receiving, manufacturing, warehouse, and off-site production areas.
Provides monthly department metrics, goals, activity, material issues, concerns or potential problems reports to management.
Fosters a team environment while effectively coordinating interdepartmental activity and communication with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, government property, and other groups as requested.
Ensures inventory accuracy through regular review and resolution of issues and ensures compliance to all regulatory, safety, and HAZMAT requirements.
Supports logistics and inventory support needs for Government/Customer furnished materials.
Monitors and directs daily shipping and receiving activities.
Establishes goals and objectives for team members and provides leadership that encourages and supports a team environment.
Provides staff resource planning including identification of critical skill needs to support business growth with the department.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of overall experience, 5 additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of the degree
Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience managing or supervising over 10+ employees in a stock or material departments.
Must oversee the material control and logistics operations while supporting multiple program requirements.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree
10 years' experience in a space system mission assurance role
Active Top Secret clearance
* Deltek/Costpoint Experience
Salary Range: $117,800.00 - $176,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
