As a Manufacturing Technician you will work on the SLS/BOLE and other commercial programs casting propellant. This job involves the set up and assembly of several different rocket motors in casting pits and will require accessing these 40' pits often. Other job duties include disassembly of tooling after cast and cure is complete. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing environment
* Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
* Ability to work flexible/changing schedules and weekends
* Ability to climb ladders and work around heights
* U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Energetic Operations
* Previous manufacturing, or production experience
* Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
Salary Range: *$42,000 - $70,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
