The Manufacturing Engineer will become part of Northrop Grumman's Advanced Commodities Manufacturing organization. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment where he/she will interact with multiple disciplines.
The Manufacturing Engineer has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Investigating suspected non-conforming hardware, determining a path forward for rework or repair and providing initial root causes for manufacturing related defects.
Developing and/or revising process documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
Developing new and maintaining or improving existing manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and affordability.

Factory support - working with the production floor personnel to resolve technical issues or questions. Collaborating with operations team to identify and implement improvements.
Leverage data to develop actionable insights and recommend improvements.
Utilize Tableau for data visualization and reporting to support decision-making processes.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience or Masters with 0 years experience.
Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data and recommendations clearly.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industries.
Engage directly with and have hands on experience with floor operations, addressing real time challenges
Knowledge/familiarity of J-STD and MIL-STD requirements, including J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.

* Familiarity with advanced microelectronics fabrication technologies, specifically manual processes.
MANUMS
Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
