Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Program Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Advanced Mission Capabilities (AMC) Integrated Program Team (IPT) under the Multi-Domain Command & Control (MDC2) Division. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

The AMC IPT is responsible to the Multi-Domain Command & Control (MDC2) Programs Vice President for program cost, schedule, performance, and quality in all aspects of managing the AMC programs. The AMC programs for this position include emerging technology and the applicability to the E-2D mission. Additionally, the PM2 will provide oversight for long standing programs bringing enhancements to the E-2D. A Program Manager with strong technical or Navy E-2 operational background is desired. A background in engineering is optimal but not mandatory.
This key position includes the following responsibilities:
Acts as primary customer contact and monitors program activities, including cost, schedule, and technical performance. Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
* Provides leadership, management, guidance, and oversight for personnel
* Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes
* Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, allocates resources, and recommends changes/updates to contractual requirements leading a multi-disciplined IPT
* Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of the contract
* Prepares presentations and presents program reviews with both internal and external customers
* Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
* Resolves issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies
* Leads the team in the execution of the program by providing clear assignments and direction, maintaining close communication, and getting the team the support needed to perform with success
* Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
* Development and adherence to master plans and schedules
* Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.
* Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts and/or business management related functions.
* Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher).
* Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
* Knowledge of Northrop Grumman internal processes, procedures, and organization.
Salary Range: $135,100 - $202,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
