Northrop Grumman's Corporate Office is seeking a Manager of Information Technology 1 within the Chief Information Office (CIO) Enterprise Operations organization. The selected candidate can work remotely but may be required to come on-site periodically. The selected candidate's responsibilities will include leading a team of individuals supporting the Enterprise Operations Financial Operations (FinOps) Center of Excellence (COE) objectives of understanding and optimizing IT usage and cost, quantifying business value, and managing the FinOps practice. This is a working manager position, requiring skills in and knowledge of FinOps or similar areas such as business management or project management, as the selected candidate will be leading initiatives working across organizations to drive results. The manager will lead, evaluate, provide resources, and drive a team towards realistic goals, while applying their expertise to strategize for current and future cost optimization goals, and will serve as the point of contact for FinOps questions. Knowledge of Northrop Grumman policies and procedures will be applied to ensure risk to the business is minimized, while also thinking creatively to drive improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage staff of FinOps professionals, to include strategy development & delivery, resource and budget management, and goal setting.
* Provide depth and growth of responsibilities and challenges to team members, along with coaching, constructive feedback, goal-setting, and regular one-on-one meetings.
* Coordinate and lead team meetings and meetings with business leaders.
* Create a trusted partnership with Enterprise Operations and other business leaders.
* Assist direct reports with managing team and individual priorities.
* Provide hands-on ownership of FinOps initiatives.
* Monitor staff activities and ensure workloads are being managed appropriately.
* Escalate roadblocks and major issues while managing risks and dependencies.
* Persuade and influence others through verbal and written communications.
* Act as SME and point of escalation for stakeholders, business leaders, and other team members.
* Utilize expertise to optimize IT usage and cost, quantify business value, and manage the FinOps practice.
* Make decisions in accordance with the Northrop Grumman values.
* Identify areas for sector-wide service improvement and standardization.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience; a High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
* Demonstrated leadership experience.
* Problem solving and negotiation skills.
* Time management and prioritization skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
* Ability to manage a team of virtual and on-site personnel, define team goals, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated experience in identifying and driving process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a FinOps organization.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Project management experience or experience leading initiatives spanning multiple organizations/teams.
* FinOps Foundation certifications or related training.
* Active DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.

Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
