This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of a given cost center including safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives and factory accountability along with other duties.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for, but not limited to, work assignment delegation, team member assistance and proper technical support and guidance for operations on aerospace parts or products all processes related to aerospace paint, masking, and surface prep work requirements to include but not limited to performance-based gap filler, aero-fairing, scrim/applique, fastener filler, thin film, coatings, primer and topcoat materials.
* Must be able to provide clear and concise direction and coaching to technicians and other production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
* Must be able to work well with others, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have thorough knowledge of the company procedures and policies.
* Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
* Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
* Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.

* Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends, and support on-call status.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with 7 years' experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment; additional education may be considered in lieu of experience
* 5 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory and/or management role
* Must be willing to work any shift including: Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:12 pm - 2:42 am) OR Friday - Sunday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 1:30 am) as needed
* Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree
* Must have a good working knowledge of MES and CPLM.
* Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering.
* Facilitate and provide support and training in core skill areas to teams and peers and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively communicate and present presentations with various levels of leadership
* High-Rate Manufacturing experience
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in paint and coatings operations.
Salary Range: $140,500 - $210,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
