Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The System Integration Engineer requires at least Administrator-level knowledge but does not conduct normal Administrator job functions. Integrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers, and support System Test events by operating C2BMC suites. Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events and integration activities.
Essential Functions:
Work with external personnel to resolve test lab issues
Work with C2BMC Operations and Sustainment as well as Level-II support personnel to resolve installation and processing issues
Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files
Perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data
Troubleshoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation
Read test plan documents and procedures
Create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues
Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents
Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities
Participate in the integration of C2BMC tests with external elements and sensors
Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary
Attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, etc
The position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC, but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience may be considered instead of a degree
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required at the start
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Knowledge of administration in at least one of these three domains:
Networking
Linux
Windows
Conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing proprietary application logs, firewall policies, and interface documentation
Must have knowledge or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
Must have experience with operational systems like:
Aegis
Patriot
Development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis)
Off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages
Integration of system components within an integrated test environment
Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment
High proficiency with
Networking (Junos)
VMware
Virtual servers
Linux, including shell scripting
Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
Preferred Qualifications:
Current and Active in-scope DoD-Issued Top Secret clearance is highly desired
Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System, including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks, is a plus
Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a plus
Experience with Agile Methods and Capability and Feature definition is a plus

Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $100,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
