The selected candidate will possess an extensive aviation test engineering background with strong technical and leadership skills. This position requires strong communication skills to support extensive executive-level interaction. They will collaborate with government and contractor leaders to develop detailed test plans and drive an integrated team approach to problem solving. A thorough understanding of flight test safety planning, test operations, and test reporting is required.
Primary job responsibilities:
Lead and provide functional management for a team of 15-20 system test engineers & test conductors.
Serve as the link between the Flight Test Maintenance Engineering team and the Flight Test Operations team
Collaborate with government and contractor leaders to develop detailed test plans and drive an integrated team approach to problem solving.
Responsible for developing resource forecasts and achieving cost and schedule performance goals for their team.
Must be willing to work extended shifts and odd hours to support flight test execution objectives.
The standard shift for this position is on the 4/10 schedule. Shift adjustments may be required with advanced notification.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of science Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR 5 years related experience with a PhD
Experience in a system test environment
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Must have prior management or Leadership experience
Requires ability to work any shift
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into continuous evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment
Experience in a US Air Force Combined Test Force (CTF)
Experience leading an aircraft operation under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight
Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions
Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
