Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has opening for EW/RF Systems Engineer to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team at our Linthicum, MD campus to fill roles on multiple major development programs. These include sensors for current and next generation air and sea platforms: including EA-18 Growler, SEWIP, unmanned programs, and other restricted programs and missions. As part of Northrop Grumman's Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering organization, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to develop solutions for our customer's most difficult technical challenges. This team is responsible for supporting the development of highly adaptive, software defined, hardware enabled systems across a variety of domains. Candidates must be self-motivated systems thinkers that can work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

This position requires up to 100% on-site work due to security constraints and an ability to pass an enhanced security review.

This position will allow for participation throughout the systems engineering process, including working on the following tasks:

Algorithm development

* Performance analysis

* Data analysis

* Support of firmware, software and hardware integration and test

This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting and contract award.

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer

Active Secret clearance prior to starting

* Ability to obtain SAP prior to starting

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other Engineering with 2 years of related experience, 0 years related experience with a Master's Degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

* Experience with MATLAB or equivalent software tools

* US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Support (ES), and/or Electronic Attack (EA)

* Experience with digital signal processing

Salary Range: *$83,300 - $124,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
