As a member of the Operations Electronics & Avionics Manufacturing Engineering team, you will support manufacturing operations to produce precision, high-quality, electronic circuit card assemblies used in inertial measurement and navigation systems.
What you'll get to do:
Process development for manufacturing of high reliability electronic Circuit Card Assemblies
* Manufacturing equipment process ownership
* Utilize SPC (statistical process control) and data to drive process, yield, and cost improvement
* Define sequence of operations for build instructions
* Review and approval of Engineering Changes
* Development of tooling required for manufacturing
* Labor time studies
* Capacity analysis
The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate in a manufacturing environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and parts lists, understand machine software for troubleshooting of machines, and knowledgeable with SAP or similar in a manufacturing environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or other related STEM area with 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Production, or related area; Master's degree with 0 years of experience.
* Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)
* US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment
* Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) processes
* Data manipulation and analysis experience
* Experience with applying Lean Six Sigma principles on low volume, high mix processes
* Experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action activities
* SAP experience
* IPC Standards/J-STD-001 certification
* Active Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $70,200 - $105,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
