This candidate will be responsible for Hardware Integration, Computer Off the Shelf (COTS) Software Integration, and Engineering Documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Datacenter hardware integration, documentation, drawings, and software deployment.
* Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair
* Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings.
* Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces.
* Configure IT hardware such as switches, Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM)/PCOIP devices, and develop or markup system build guides and procedures.
* Configure operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, VMware, and ESXi.
* Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware.
* Participate in offsite system integration activities
* Implement engineering changes to the system as required.
* Work closely with other engineers and technicians in a lab & production environment.
* Employ good planning, coordination, communication, and documentation skills
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment and embrace collaborative/team settings across all levels.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
This position can be filled at the Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration OR the Principal Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.

Active CompTIA Security+ Certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
* Mechanical assembly skills for building IT racks and training equipment
* Experience in hardware or software integration
* Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds to support equipment installations
* Experience performing software upgrades
* Experience troubleshooting Windows/Unix/Linux Operating systems
* Experience with VMware deployment & troubleshooting
*
Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance
* Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.

* Experience in hardware or software integration
* Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds to support equipment installations

* Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking system
* Experience in one or more of the following: Windows, Solaris, VMware, ESXI, networking, or storage
* Experience with Compunetix systems
Salary Range: $89,400 - $134,200
Salary Range 2: *$110,300 - $165,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
