The candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multitalented. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology, metrology processes, and equipment engineering is essential.
The Dry Etch Sustaining Semiconductor Process Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
All aspects of sustaining existing Dry Etch and Ash processes for a production and/or development line including process qualifications and process technician training.
Interfacing with other unit process engineers, operations, and integration engineers during the design and execution of process/equipment improvement projects.
Writing and maintaining process documentation.
Supporting statistical process control (SPC) and continuous improvement efforts
Performing all other related duties as assigned

This requisition may be filled as a Dry Etch Sustaining Semiconductor Process Engineer or Principal Dry Etch Sustaining Semiconductor Process Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for Dry Etch Sustaining Semiconductor Process Engineer:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or any related STEM degree with 2 years of relevant experience (0 years with a MS).
Have an understanding/knowledge of semiconductor plasma etch or other related semiconductor processing
Able to work independently with hands-on experience in operating process and metrology tools, gathering, and analyzing data.
Hands-on experience running semiconductor process equipment with process sustaining/development activities.
Must be able to work independently, providing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
Direct experience with semiconductor fabrication, working a large percentage of time in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Dry Etch Sustaining Semiconductor Process Engineer:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or any related STEM degree with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with a MS or 0 year with PhD).
Have an understanding/knowledge of semiconductor plasma etch or other related semiconductor processing
Able to work independently with hands-on experience in operating process and metrology tools, gathering, and analyzing data.
Hands-on experience running semiconductor process equipment with process sustaining/development activities.
Must be able to work independently, providing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
Direct experience with semiconductor fabrication, working a large percentage of time in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Developing and optimization of Dry Etch processes for new materials and/or emerging technologies.
Hands-on experience running Dry Etch process equipment with process sustaining/development activities.
Experience with Applied Materials process tools (Dry Etch, CVD, PVD, Metrology, ......)
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others and work independently
Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage changes, and implement solutions.
Experience in structured problem-solving methodology to troubleshoot tool and process issues.
Data mining and analysis (JMP, Design Expert, or Minitab).
Advanced knowledge and experience of statistical process control (SPACE).
Active Secret clearance.

Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Salary Range 2: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
