Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What You Will Get To Do:
Lead the Sentinel System Integration and provide support to the Sentinel SEIT Segment's Software and System Integration Team (SSIT) IPT Director. Responsibilities include leadership over the following areas:
The SI Director leads the integration of Weapon System Life Cycle Cost, System Design Integration, Configuration and Data Management, and Liaison Engineering. The SI Director's priorities will be focused on Sentinel program execution and Systems Engineering products developed and delivered with high standards of quality and according to the contract.
Leadership of a matrixed technical organization
Responsible for cost (CAM), schedule and technical performance of work execution
Responsible for your team's technical planning of work and task integration across the program for agile execution
Responsible for work prioritization and its communication and management to enable effective and efficient work execution of your team and the interaction across segment and IPT boundaries
Weapon System Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
Weapon System level characterization for system performance optimization and predictions
Sub-system and element level MS&A compilation and integration for full System representation and realization
Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability
Reliability allocation and full decomposition to support design solutions and system integration
Reliability basis for transitioning from design reliability to the Aging & Surveillance probability predictions for Weapon System operation and sustainment
Life Cycle Cost
Oversee a team determining and managing the lifecycle costs of system design maturation through operational support and sustainment.
Directing the life cycle cost team through estimating for engineering, building/constructing, delivery, installation/deployment, operations, sparing strategy, maintenance, and full system sustainment activities for the life of the system
System Design Engineering
Develop governance and guidance for design engineering across a broad program
Integrate the workflow of hundreds of designers into a single weapon system solution
Lead the stress analysis governance for the program including establishing a fracture control program
Interface Development
Oversee team's development of interface requirements and verification plans between segments of the weapon system and between the Sentinel weapon system and external Government systems
Coordinate interface test and qualification with product and system test organizations
Oversee development of multiple cost reports to inform government stakeholders
Configuration and Data Management
Oversee all tools and processes for data item and product end item configuration control, identification, and delivery
Oversee team responsible for program engineering board administration
Liaison Engineering
Lead team integrating the work of manufacturing with engineering across the program
Lead resolution of manufacturing tags and evaluation of various manufacturing conditions
Additional responsibilities may include:
Horizontally integrate across System Engineering directorate as well as members of the Engineering and Manufacturing Operations organization to ensure consistency of systems engineering approach. This will help identify areas of opportunity to support upcoming challenges that are not currently being elevated.
Provide independent review of portfolio software, hardware and deliverables, focused deep dives in program and product teams, as well as driving compliance to processes and procedures.
Identify opportunities for and support of engagement activities across all programs.
Identify and mentor high potential technical leaders.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM with at least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, or Master's and 8 years' of experience.
5 years of experience formally leading engineering teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Active DoD Secret clearance, investigation must have been completed within last 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
ICBM or complex aerospace systems experience
Experience in command, control, communications, and ground infrastructure for nuclear weapon systems
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience
Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either program manager, project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through managing people and understanding and management of internal processes and customer/supplier relationships.
Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
* Experience in working closely with customers to ensure delivery of systems that meet warfighter needs
Salary Range: $187,700.00 - $281,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
