What You'll Get to Do:
A Cyber Systems Engineer assess/evaluates the customers'/stakeholders' cybersecurity requirements to decompose, derive, and refine with clarity the system's cybersecurity requirements to drive the built-in cybersecurity protections to the architecture and design. The Cyber Systems Engineer also evaluates/assess the proposed and realized implementation to identify security risks and verify the cybersecurity protections from the design are realized and integrated while ensuring the development of verification efforts to ensure the cybersecurity protections / capabilities are functional, effective, and complete.
You'll utilize the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. Our small but highly energized Agile Scrum team has a significant development effort with a large impact. Job Duties:
The candidate will perform Cyber System Engineering activities supporting all phases of systems development in the areas of Cybersecurity/Systems Security Engineering, and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) as per Risk Management Framework (RMF). Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Author, support and maintain cybersecurity program documentation & RMF package documentation: Cybersecurity Strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Risk Assessment Report, POA&Ms, etc.
* Support system security requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation.
* Perform vulnerability scans and mitigate findings.
* Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
* Preparation of ATO artifacts to include baselines, SOP, SSP, RAR, and POA&M.
* Provide advanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems; develop/identify technical solutions responsive to customer needs.
* Design, plan, implement, and perform assessment of security controls, polices, and processes compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance.
Basic Qualifications:

Candidate MUST have a Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of related technical experience; OR Masters Degree with 3 or more years of related technical experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

MUST currently possess an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.
* Candidate
MUST currently possess an ACTIVE DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+).
* Experience with vulnerability and compliance scanners such as Nessus and SCAP.
* Experience with End Point Security (ESS) Agents such as Trellix.
* Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF).
* Experience with implementing STIGs and tracking non-compliance of Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms).
* Experience utilizing eMASS.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working toward obtaining and maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO).
* Experience working in a SAFe (Agile) environment.
* Familiarity with Linux and operating in a Linux environment.
* Familiarity operating in a Windows environment.
* DoD 8500-series and 8510.01 IA policy directives, approaches to cyber security, knowledge of security procedures, IATT and ATO requirements.

Salary Range: *$107,300 - $160,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
