Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. As a Contract Billing Analyst, you are responsible for the customer invoice workflow for a portfolio of contracts. You work in partnership with the program team to make sure invoices are prepared timely and consistent with contract requirements. You also have the support of a team of Contract Billing Analysts to assist with questions and workload. An eye for details, ability to analyze data and strong communication skills are characteristics of a successful Contract Billing Analyst.

• Understand relevant contract billing clauses and special billing instructions outlined in the customer's contract. Review the contract brief to makes sure its complete and accurately reflects the contract billing requirements.
• Perform analysis of the contract billing history and reconcile invoice costs to the customer's payment records.
• Set up billing attributes for contracts in the ERP system and create an electronic contract billing file to maintain invoice documentation.
• Monitor the project set-up workflow and investigate complex project setup questions in collaboration with the Business Unit. Agree on the best project set-up to utilize system controls and invoice in accordance with contract requirements.
• Investigate and reconcile any cost account differences between the customer invoice and the Project Ledger. Determine the root cause of the difference and work with the owner to make necessary corrections.
• Work independently as you manage your portfolio. Investigate and troubleshoot invoice processing problems.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree required (Finance / Accounting degree preferred)
• 2 years finance/accounting experience.
• Understanding of standard and unique contractual requirements that affect the billing the customer.
• Understand project based cost structures and billing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven Time Management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritize daily workload.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with both internal and external customers.

• Strong attention to details and invoice requirements and the ability to troubleshoot errors.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Strong business acumen and proven track record of providing innovative solutions.

Salary Range: *$64,100 - $96,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
