Contract Administrator - Level 1 (Associate), to join our * Launch & Missile Defense Systems - Missile Defense Systems team in * Huntsville, AL. * This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. #definingpossible
The successful candidate will be a direct report to MDWS Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the GWS Functional, Program, and Contract Administration teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team in supporting all aspects of a contract portfolio from the business development phase through closeout, the delivery of customer satisfaction, the building of customer relationships and assisting the team in providing timely responses to both external and internal customers. Candidate will assist and or be responsible for Contract Management System Uploads, Letter Writing/Filing, Contract Documentation Management, Modifications Administration/Processing, Data Calls and Status Reporting for both external and internal customers, interacting with multiple functional areas to provide contract support and guidance
Duties of the selected candidate will also include providing support to major capture and proposal efforts. In this job, you will:

assisting with all customer communications and correspondence,

* supporting the writing of Contracts Management proposal sections,

* assisting in the preparation of representations and certifications,

* participating in OCI sweeps,

* and assisting in the review of terms and conditions, technical data rights and assertions and providing the administrative support needed to guide the proposal through the proposal approval process.

* Assist in preparing and coordinating closeout forms and certifications as required by policy and requested by customers

* Assist in generating closeout metrics and reports for sector, line management, and Administrative Contracting Officers (ACOs)

* Assist in coordinating with subcontract closeout administrators to ensure that all subcontracts are be addressed and closed as required to facilitate closure of the prime level contracts

* Assist in management of record retention files

Basic Qualifications:

Level 1 - High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of professional experience

* Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR

* Self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize workload

* Must be able to coordinate on a daily basis with internal and external customers to address any outstanding questions or issues in a timely manner

* Understanding of processes and database development

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field

* 1-3 Years of Defense Contract Administration experience

* knowledge of SAP OneSource and related reporting with the ability to manipulate data for all data calls

* SAP experience with a combination of project implementation and production support

Salary Range: *$58,400 - $87,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
