Composites Machinist Genl to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Machine setup and Operation:
Set up and calibrate the VIPER machine according to job specifications
Load materials, such as carbon fiber or resin pre-impregnated tapes,
Programming and Execution:
Interpret engineering drawings, layup sequences, and machine programming.
Monitor automated fiber placement process and adjust parameters as needed to ensure precision.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect finished parts for defects like gaps, overlaps.
Record process parameters
Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance, such as cleaning the machine/components.
Troubleshoot issues during operation and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols when operating high-precision machinery.
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

* 2 years of experience with composite manufacturing and or automated machine operation

* Operate and maintain an automated fiber replacement machine, the set up; calibration and programming to produce high precision composites parts

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient (1 year of experience here) in CNC programming and trouble shooting

* Knowledge of composites material, resins systems, curing processes

Salary Range: *$61,485 - $99,424
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
