As a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 1 or 2, located in Melbourne, FL you'll be crucial in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Planning Specialist within the Engineering Property System (EPS) organization, to join our growing and high-performing support team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. As a key member of our team, you will support our procurement efforts by handling day to day tasks, ensuring timely and accurate order processing and collaborating with various internal stake holders to meet program needs. The Supply Chain Procurement Specialist will be a part of the Global Supply Chain team and work closely with internal Program Managers, Engineers, Project Managers, Supply Chain Planners, GSC Program Management teams, suppliers, stockroom staff and GSC buyers. The candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, procurement execution and excellent internal customer service.

This position may be hired and filled at the Associate Specialist (Level 1) or Specialist (Level 2) depending upon candidate qualifications.
In this job, you will:
Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers while ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures and on time delivery
* Initiate Request for Quotations (RFQs) and analyze proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
* Create and track purchase requisitions
* Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
* Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as engineering, planning, program, GSC buyers and end-users.
* Reconcile supplier transactions monthly and ensure required documentation is included.
* Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to our Stockroom organization so proper receipt is recorded.
* Help identify risks and determine mitigation strategies and have mindset of continual improvement
* Handle program requests with urgency, ensuring tasks are completed quickly while maintaining a high level of attention to details avoiding errors.
* Act as a key focal point of contact for communication to internal teams and suppliers, providing prompt responses to inquiries, addressing concerns and working quickly to find solutions to prevent disruption to the program or business operations.
Basic Qualifications - Level 1:
Bachelor's or Master's degree with 0 years related experience and/or high school diploma with 4 + years of relevant experience may be considered
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security clearance within a reasonable time frame based on company/program requirements
* Must be able to obtain/maintain program clearance, secret access program (SAP)
* Must be proficient within all Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
* Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to present status and actions to internal functions
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Basic Qualifications - Level 2:
Bachelor's degree within 3 years related experience or Master's degree with 1 year related experience and/or high school diploma with 7 + years of relevant experience may be considered
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security clearance within a reasonable time frame based on company/program requirements
* Must be able to obtain/maintain program clearance, secret access program (SAP)
* Must be proficient within all Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
* Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to present status and actions to internal functions
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance with a refresh/update within the last 6 years
* Knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 specific to government property accountability
* Familiar with SAP business system to view the details of purchase orders, invoices, and goods receipts
* Experience hosting meetings up to senior management level providing part shortages, identifying roadblocks, and finding solutions to mitigate
* Ability to successfully perform and pivot in a dynamic environment
* Demonstrated capability and proven success in problem solving
Salary Range: *$48,000 - $72,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
