Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Associate Embedded Software Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Embedded Software Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting Electronic Warfare and Radar Embedded OFP Development programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using software development best practices and standards.

* Participate in the full software development life cycle, to include requirements development, modeling and design, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.

* Ability to provide leadership in solving complex problems.

* Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

This position may be filled at the Associate Embedded Software Engineer or Engineer Embedded Software level.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Embedded Software Engineer:


Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.

* Proficient in C

* Proficient in Object Oriented programming

* Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing

* Must currently hold or
be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

Basic Qualifications for Embedded Software Engineer:

Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.

* Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 0 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.

* Proficient in C

* Proficient in Object Oriented programming

* Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing

* Basic understanding of Radar principles

* Basic understanding of EW principles

* Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with VxWorks/pSOS RTOS

* Experience with MIL-STD-1553

* Experience with digital processor simulation/emulation

* Experience with Matlab/Simulink

* Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

* Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing

* Experience with Assembly

* Experience with digital signal processing

* Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git

* Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams

* Experience with the Agile software development process

* Experience interfacing with customers and/or stakeholders

Salary Range: $63,900 - $95,900
Salary Range 2: *$77,200 - $115,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
