Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.

Your Role

Opportunity for an experienced commercial aircraft maintenance engineer to provide technical expertise on industry leading UAS technology.

Support the entry into service of the Triton UAS as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics at RAAF Base Tindal, NT.
* Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on avionics systems, including communications, navigation, and flight control systems.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintenance manuals while delivering serviceable UAS on time and within budget.
* Identify and resolve manpower, tooling, and facility requirements, while providing solutions to technical and logistical challenges.
* Collaborate effectively within a team environment, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
About You

Trade qualification Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Avionics
* Previous experience as an Avionics Engineer in the aviation industry.
* Extensive knowledge of avionics systems, including communications, navigation, and flight control systems.
* Familiarity with regulatory standards and maintenance manuals.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform efficiently under pressure.
