Candidates for this role will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team and customer. Candidates must have a proven ability to multi-task, produce quality results, and consistently meet deadlines.
Your Role and Impact:

Primary POC for Fixed Asset Accounting functions and activities
* Process project capitalization requests utilizing the standard asset capitalization form including a total cost reconciliation and a complete review of supporting documentation to ensure cost meets the capital criteria per accounting rules, company policy and guidelines
* Prepare quarterly fixed asset financial reports and present to Division
* Interface with internal customers at our various operating unit locations
* Participate in special projects as needed
* Prepare journal entries and support the month end, quarter, and year end accounting close requirements, as needed
* Prepare account reconciliations as assigned in Blackline and resolve reconciling issues
* Support the month end, quarter, and year end accounting close requirements, as needed
* Respond to ad hoc data requests, inquiries, and problem resolution, including audit requests
* Other duties as assigned

Your Expertise - Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of professional experience
* Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
* Finance or accounting experience
* Experience working with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel with use of pivot tables, vlookup, and SUMIF statements
* No clearance required to start
What Sets You Apart:

Aerospace, Space or Defense industry experience
* Working knowledge of Costpoint general ledger and ERP systems.
* Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS
* Ability to use technical aptitude to solve problems
* Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences

Salary Range: $82,900 - $124,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
