Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Software Engineers and Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Dulles, VA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Flight Software Engineering and/or Simulation within Tactical Space Systems.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2. Basic qualifications for a Software Engineer 1 is a Bachelor's Degree. Basic qualifications for a Software Engineer 2 is a Master's Degree.
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's and/or Master's) from an accredited institution
* Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
* Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
* Experience in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system level
* Demonstrated software engineering, controls, or systems engineering leadership experience, preferably with experience in Space Flight Software or Simulation Software.
* Ability to form strong partnerships to ensure lockstep coordination with adjacent discipline areas and program manager leadership
Preferred Qualifications:

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
* Active TS/SCI clearance
* Experience in a technical leadership role
* Experience with Earned Value Management
* Demonstrated systems engineering excellence in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system level or Demonstrated vehicle development, mission systems integration, ground and flight test validation experience
* Experience in successfully developing and integrating software and hardware solutions for space applications
* Experience implementing action plans based on metrics and/or root cause/corrective actions
* Hands-on technical experience with spacecraft or satellite related systems
* Experience within Space Flight Software, Simulation Software
* Demonstrated excellence in C/C++, SVN or GIT, MS Visual Studio or Eclipse

Software Engineer: 87,200 - 130,800

Salary Range: *$72,100 - $108,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
