This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS.

The Associate Tool Design Engineer/Tool Design Engineer will be a part of the Tool Design Team and will support tooling needs for businesses, production, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Design simple to complex Tooling, Drill and Assembly Jigs, and Dies via Catia and/or NX to support production.
* Properly layout drawings using views and dimensions that are in compliance with ASME Y14.1-5 standards.
* Conceptualize designs in 3D, detail the CAD model and detail the drawings for fabrication.
* Execution of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers.
* Perform tolerance analysis and apply appropriate GD&T to ensure form, fit, and function.
* Conduct root cause failure investigations and implement associated corrective actions.
* Lead and assist the product development team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate processes and technology.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Tool Design Engineer:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
* Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
* Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

* Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
* Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
* Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Pay Range:
Associate Tool Design Engineer: $55,100 - $82,700
* Tool Design Engineer: $66,600 - $99,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
