WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a curious and detail-oriented Workforce Optimization (WFO) Specialist to deliver key WFO initiatives within North America Store Operations (NA SO). This position plays a vital role in the success of our store fleet by providing the foundational tools, systems, and processes needed to promote retail excellence and drive store profitability.
The successful candidate must possess a strong operations background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to work through ambiguity to operate effectively. In addition, it is crucial that this individual has experience with retail labor planning and can engage in big-picture thinking to provide creative solutions to workforce challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this position, you will be assigned to, and support, one of the following workstreams within WFO:
Staffing & Scheduling - Ensure stores have, and can effectively schedule, the right leadership & athlete mix
Planning & Insights - Align resource allocation with financial goals to deliver cost-effective labor
Decision Support - Improve the prevalence, quality, and consistency of data-based decisions
Key Accountabilities for WFO Specialist Role:
- Participate in the administration of key WFO programs that elevate the athlete and consumer experience across the North America fleet
- Assist in the evolution of methodologies to uphold our standard for workforce planning excellence
- Analyze data and deliver reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends
- Conduct regular audits to maintain data/system integrity and address potential issues before they impact operations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement process and effectively communicate opportunities for productivity and profitability enhancements
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Director of Workforce Optimization and receive regular guidance and instruction from your workstream lead. One of the phenomenal things about this position is the opportunity to work with several cross-functional teams! Depending upon your assigned workstream, you will build strong and productive relationships with program stakeholders within the Business Operations, Finance, Global Store Operations, Analytics, Human Resources, Nike Data Governance, and Talent Acquisition teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience
- 1-3 years retail operations experience
- Intermediate understanding of workforce planning principles, methodologies, tools, and metrics
- Proven experience building Excel-based reports and completing analysis with intermediate complexity
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for your role
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy and sharp attention to detail
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to include the ability to produce clear and well-organized documentation
- Experience coordinating activities of cross-functional teams and providing basic program management support
