WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a talented Visual Merchandising & Styling Specialist, who wants to help shape the future of our Value and Partner Marketplace experiences across the Territory in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordics. The role will be based in the Nike HQ in Hilversum, Netherlands.
You must be attuned to the needs of the consumer in a modern sense, eager to push new ways of thinking about and mapping their journeys with our most innovative store concepts as part of the O2O member journey and not just the end destination. Your focus is to think how we connect our digital journeys, and then weave in the physical experiences in the most personal and inspirational ways. Your passion is how the consumer navigates a modern retail marketplace. We need you to be curious, open to interrogate your own as well as others plans in a constructive way, with always an eye on the KPIs we are accountable for delivering. You should have a magic touch when it comes to the art, but also a mind that ensures the science is applied in real life and real ways so that those around you follow your lead. Ultimately, to move at the speed of the consumer you must set the pace.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Is this you? Here's what a typical day/week looks like.
You will work daily on the VM&S process and realization following the strategies for the Nike stores. As the Visual Merchandising & Styling Specialist for the territory in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordics, you will be part of the Central Retail Marketing VMS function, reporting directly to the Central Visual Merchandising Manager. In this role core duties will include:
- Supporting the planning and execution of seasonal and daily VM & Styling ethos and approach across our Nike fleet in city/country(ies) with a focus on our NVS / Value and Partner concepts to drive inspiration whilst serving the business.
- Guide the Store based VMS teams to obsess consumer & member journey through the store and making sure our Nike Fleets inspire the consumer in a meaningful way.
- Educate and support our store based VMS teams to be able to drive the best store experience every day and maintain our standards.
- Collaborate with the Central Retail Marketing Team, Nike Direct teams and EMEA VMS team on the VMS operating model across the NVS / value and Partner fleet in your responsible area.
- Understanding of the KPI's and business needs
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role you will work fluidly across the Central Retail Marketing team, aligning roles & responsibilities within the function, and working with cross-functional marketing partners to bring your vision to life for our consumers in various cities and countries. You will work closely with the Retail function, at city and EMEA level, and you will also work closely with the EMEA VMS team to stay abreast of latest strategies and help share best practices.
The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. You must be collaborative, intuitive, and maximize the effectiveness of individual as well as collective thinking. You must be open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with in order to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING
A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements in order to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.
Essential requirements:
- Experience in Visual Merchandising with a strong focus on retail and digital marketing.
- Prior experience in Retail and/or Styling.
- A demonstrable understanding of the territory consumer and Nike's position within it, with a track record of making strategic marketing decisions within this environment.
- A desire & willingness to adapt in an agile fashion to our consumers' and organization's needs to deepen our relationships with members
- Ability to travel / Driver's License

- Retail Marketing knowledge/experience is essential.
