The annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $139,200.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike's Global Brand Marketing department is looking for a seasoned Equipment Supervisor to join the team at its innovative digital imaging studio in Los Angeles, CA. This is a chance to join the team that creates product marketing and brand story telling content seen around the world for all of Nike Inc's brands.
The successful candidate will bring exceptional demonstrated experience in high volume and fast paced imaging studio environments. A passion for photography and video systems and workflow and an interest in influencing process development and improvement across production and creative teams. You will have a strong working knowledge of specialized photography and video lighting systems and studio workflow methods. A creative problem solver with an acute attention to detail, a commitment to process improvement, and a comfort with troubleshooting technology issues on the fly.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Equipment Supervisor will act as a technical process leader for photo and video shoots in Icon studios. You will be responsible for the successful application of lighting and camera across still life, on figure and motion sets simultaneously. This includes light tests, building safe environments, and standardizing equipment and studio practices. You will also lead a team of lighting and grip assistants to execute lighting scenarios according to our team of producers.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with leads in production, creative, studio operations, and the broader photography department to ensure our processes are optimized for premium quality at scale. Daily work consists of overseeing freelance lighting and camera operators on/off set, interacting with freelance photographers, art directors to successfully run daily production. You will partner closely with the full time Digital Imaging Team, Director of Studio Operations and Post Production team to scale digital operations to run efficiently. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate closely with Nike's Tech teams to ensure workflows are able to work effectively and comply with security protocols.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

5 years of experience in a lighting and grip department

Expert-level knowledge of Profoto, Arri and Aperture

On-set experience as lighting technician both in studio and on-location

Experience with modern DSLR and mirrorless camera systems

Working knowledge of Fuji medium format systems and RED video camera systems is a plus

Experience with an equipment inventory management system such as Trakit.

Strong communication written and verbal communication skills

Ability to complete minor repairs on lighting and grip

Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools

Experienced in Photography
