WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike's Global Brand Marketing department is looking for an experienced production equipment Technician to join the team at its innovative digital imaging studio in Hillsboro. This is a chance to join the team that creates product marketing and brand story telling content seen around the world for all of Nike Inc's brands.
The successful candidate will bring exceptional demonstrated experience in high volume and fast paced imaging studio environments. A passion for photography and video systems and workflow and an interest in influencing process development and improvement across production and creative teams. You will have strong working knowledge of specialized photo and video capture equipment, macOS, and general production experience. A creative problem solver with an acute attention to detail, a commitment to process improvement, and a comfort with troubleshooting technology issues on the fly.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Act as a liaison between the equipment, Digital Imaging Techs, and Production teams at the studio, managing and updating all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at ICON.PDX, including lighting diagrams, equipment protocols, scan books, and studio documentation. Troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate with photographers and production to adjust lighting and set configurations, and maintain creative standards. Oversee the maintenance of studio-owned computers and iPads, prepare and organize sets daily, and ensure they are properly equipped and sanitized. Attend kickoffs to make necessary adjustments to lighting and set configurations, including mid-day touch-ups. Lead inventory control, ensuring proper chain of custody for all studio equipment using Trak-It Works Software, conducting monthly audits, managing repairs and maintenance, and improving software processes. Additionally, supervise the daily tasks of the freelance crew.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Your primary, daily interactions will be with the studio team at the Icon. PDX imaging studio. You will partner with leads in creative, production, studio operations, and the broader photography department to ensure our processes are optimized for premium quality and massive scale.

Daily work will be with all crew members in production including freelance photographers, art directors, stylists, assistants, and other equipment staff to successfully run daily production.

You will partner closely with the Equipment teams in LA around the operation of the networked photography department.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of two years experience in production, ideally within high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • On-set experience in camera or grip and electric departments both in studio and on-location
  • Experience with modern DSLR and mirrorless camera systems
  • Broad knowledge of photography lighting & grip equipment
  • Strong communication written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints while maintaining high performance standards
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work on own initiative.
  • Effective client service and interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail
