WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be working closely with teams such as Store Construction, Partner Management, Store Design, Concepts, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tech, Digital, Store Operations. Externally, you will work with Nike Partners, External Consultants, Architects, General Contractors and Vendors to ensure projects are delivered on budget and vendors are paid in a timely manner.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Nike Direct EMEA Stores Development Cost Management team seeks a Specialist to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of Nike's Store Development Construction Projects across EMEA. We are looking for an experienced cost manager who can drive value in the development of our business. The candidate will be able to proactively manage all accountable projects and develop on existing processes/reporting methods to support our high-performing team.
Skills we are looking for:
- Experience in a quantity surveying, with exposure to hands on construction projects.
- Education in Construction Management and/or Quantity Surveying is highly recommended
- Ability to negotiate
- Strong administrative skills with MS Office (Excel), SAP, Aravo, & Smartsheet
- Excellent organization and project management skills especially Cost Management and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail, with a methodical approach to work
- Excellent English language skills both written and speaking. Other languages are a plus
- Track record in creating strong partnerships across functions & cultures
- Ability to embrace change and operate effectively, even during periods of uncertainty while constructively dealing with problems
- Inovative mindset- suggestiving better and new ways to be more efficient
- Ability to drive clarity by setting out realistic timelines and clearly communicating actions and holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
- Ability to foster effective teamwork and support a culture of inclusion
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Define the financial setup of financial projects, including the development of the CAPEX budget, assisting with defining the procurement strategy and vendors to be engaged in the projects.
- Coordinate communication related to cost, budget, and invoicing between internal team members, General Contractors, Nike Direct vendors, Partners etc.
- Maintain and update project dashboard and closely supervise project budget vs. actuals to ensure projects are delivered on budget
- Analyze and clarify quotations / contracts to acquire sign-off by balancing cost, quality, lead time, and technical considerations
- Manage the processing of Purchase orders, invoices compliant with Nike's internal processes and requirements
- Manage bidding/ tender process (PQQ, RFP) by preparing relevant documentation, being able to analyze tender returns and prepare recommendations to Senior Leadership. Develop vendor management procedures, strategies and reports.
- Maintain overall relationships with vendors and wider teams to act as the single point of contact for all commercial issues on their projects
- Support Nikes Store Construction strategy and vision with own work and through day-to-day actions and maintaining compliance with contracts, code of conduct and corporate directives
- Support the team, understand and communicate fairly complex information specific to the position. Create standard work products which are then to be reviewed by colleagues.
- Initiate analysis and investigations to solve differing but related problems. Then apply solutions based on experience, and Identify the most appropriate options or methods to improve existing approaches.
