To fully deliver optimal Maintenance goals, the Maintenance Supervisor will partner and have considerable interaction with multi-functional teams consisting of but not limited to Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Planning & Parts Teams, Vendors, Engineers, and Production personnel.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this critical role will be an instrumental leader framing the future of the Air MI maintenance technical workforce. You will also have a dotted-line reporting structure to the Reliability Manager

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor will provide the technical link between maintenance functions and production needs on their work shift. They will also lead a team of Maintenance crew members, and other key members associated with maintenance activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Provide guidance and support to the development maintenance technicians such that they are accountable for achieving individual, team, and maintenance department goals.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance staffing and operation plans to ensure the efficient response to organization priorities.
- Preventive Maintenance: coordinate and audit preventive maintenance tasks to avoid equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of assets.
- Repairs: Coordinate and supervise repairs, ensuring they are completed promptly and effectively.
- Budget Management: ensure cost-effective operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance activities.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations and standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment history.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors as required.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, issues, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Meetings: Coordinate and facilitate work team meetings (examples: pre-shift, crew meetings, roundtables, etc.). On a regular basis, meet with the shift Operations team to review equipment maintenance issues
- Resolve employee relations issues and work with maintenance staff to drive skills capability.
- Training: Conduct presentations and formal training for maintenance personnel.
- Training: Keep abreast of new technologies and provide a vision for technical improvement across the plant.
- Emergency Response: Lead the response to emergency maintenance situations, ensuring swift resolution to minimize downtime and timely incident documentation.
Schedule : N1: Tue - Thursday and every other Monday (5:30 pm - 5:30 am)
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in maintenance management, safety, or technical areas are advantageous.
- Tracks standard preventive manufacturing measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities for your shift/crew.
- Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions vital for the safe performance of assigned duties.
- Guide and Support maintenance technicians and operations in trouble-shooting production equipment when vital
- Support and responsibility for the deployment and implementation of crew training programs
- Assists the EH&S team in the deployment and management of site safety and environmental programs
- Support the Maintenance Manager in the development of High-Performance Work Teams and assist with leading Cultural development through MBS Implementation
- Proven track record to work independently and successfully facilitate multi-functional teams, while implementing improvement within an established time frame
- Facilitate focused improvement events (Kaizen) for your crew.
