The annual base salary for this position ranges from $77,700.00 in our lowest geographic market to $174,000.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director, GPS NYC/East, you will manage various strategic partners and a network of outsourced talent across multiple locations. You will collaborate with your extended East and Global GPS team, senior Nike leaders and work closely with cross-functional partners to provide thought leadership, manage business relationships, and execute Only at Nike Event concepts. You will be part of the NYC/East team working with city managers and the Regional Director as a cohesive unit while working back with a larger services events team responsible for Global internal events at Nike. You will often work with event producers across Nike business units to operationalize their visions while, on occasion, producing events yourself.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are currently seeking an Event Lead to take charge of all activities related to virtual, hybrid, and live event experiences in our NYC/East Key City locations. As the NYC/East Event Lead, you will oversee the program and strategic partners to successfully support the Global, Places and Services event strategy and experience in Nike Key City locations. You will collaborate closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders by contributing with GPS Events input and requirements for facilities, service, and operating models. You will also ensure operational excellence by implementing efficient technologies and event management practices and procedures from intake through execution.
As a candidate for this position, you should have a wealth of experience across all disciplines of event operations for B-to-B and B-to-C Events and a proven track record of driving event operations based on global strategies mixed with local needs. As the primary point of contact for events in the East, you should always stay up to date with the latest trends, Nike's marketplace, and the city's hidden gems and places to be.
The candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- Minimum of 3+ years' work experience in a high-profile operations role related to events/venue management across multiple sites.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic partners, agencies and supplier management, ideally at a Fortune 500 company.
- Effective communicator at all levels with proven ability to influence and drive people and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to assign and manage internal and external resources effectively across multiple projects.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, multi-tasking and budget management skills.
- A team player with proven experience in leading, coaching, driving and inspiring (extended) teams across multiple locations aiming for shared success.
- Ability to effectively manage time, and individually prioritize tasks of competing priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities and ability to present and influence those capabilities across all levels of the organization through strong verbal, written skills.
- Firm command of leading meetings and prioritizing agendas across multiple business partners.
- Fluent in MS Office applications, familiarity with Smartsheet a plus
- Expertise managing large budgets, forecasting, and charge backs.
- Expert using event tools such as CVENT, Ungerboek and/or Planned.
- Excellent understanding of the Event industry and its trends.
- Desire to obtain a strong brand awareness and knowledge of the business to be a steward of progress.
- Provide timely and accurate data reporting, budgeting, expense reports, event summaries, measurables, and business reports.
- Qualified to hold an international passport and driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to work irregular hours and schedules as needed; up to 25% travel is expected.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Drive and manage the B-to-B event operating model from intake through execution.
- Create event briefings and production design based on business objectives.
- Be accountable for managing event stakeholder expectations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and performance.
- Develop communication plans to ensure seamless implementation of event program innovations.
- Manage program and event budgets with accurate and timely planning, forecasting, administration, and expense reconciliation.
- Oversee long-term internal and external strategic and agency partnerships for event execution. Drive and manage continuity of (outsourced) resource planning with business partners and independent contractors.
- Manage suppliers, vendors, and event staffing resources effectively, including partner agencies, against business requirements to maximize performance and value.
- Influence and drive strategic decisions based on impact, agility, and efficiency on events with business partners.
- Implement metrics and processes to analyze both financial and non-financial data, improve performance, measure results, and identify strategic opportunities.
- Leverage the strategic partner platform and partner with GPS Director to manage event related QBR's, SLA's, and SOP's.
- Propose and deliver activities/events that elevate the on-site athlete* connectivity, equity, and inclusiveness.
- Partner with the GPS Director to manage the department's financial processes, including forecasts and reporting.
- Proactively contribute to shaping the future of events by influencing geo and global direction with GPS event requirements.
- Optimize GPS event infrastructure through designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes.
