WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Nike by You team, you will collaborate with key functional partners: Footwear Color/Material Design, Footwear Material Development, Product Management, Partner PCC and PMO Teams, Global Sourcing and Planning, and Operations Teams. You'll need to navigate the Nike matrix to ensure that our processes model and match Global Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You are the key point of contact between our PCC/PMO partners and WHQ product team and must ensure that communication during the product development process is complete, clear, and accurate.

As a Senior Footwear Product Developer, this person will provide project and process direction, within the project team, at an accelerated pace and close to market. The ideal candidate needs to have demonstrated project management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a product development environment. In addition, we're looking for people that are self-starters, quick learners, clear communicators, team players, and exhibit strong leadership skills. As a member of the Nike By You, this person will effectively build relationships, lead, and interact with teams across Nike Footwear Product Creation and with teams comprising of diverse cultures across various geographies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- A minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience
- Seasoned project manager with project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
- Strong influencing skills and ability to champion complex projects both cross-functionally and vertically within the organization.
- Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle.
- Demonstrates intermediate level understanding of Consumer Product or Hard goods and knowledge:
- Footwear pattern engineering, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify & suggest cost effective solutions.
- Materials, test methods, and properties and application.
- Read technical drawings, sketches, and/or 3D digital files.
- General footwear chemistry.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As a Senior Footwear Product Developer for Nike By You, you will work on existing footwear model projects with color, material, and graphic applications, across Men's, Women's, and Kids product, as well as across dimensions such as Lifestyle and Performance. You will drive product and process excellence, within a collaborative team environment, for your assigned projects. You will also convert a project brief and 2D design tech pack into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer.
We're looking for you to utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence, by identifying and addressing key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability, sustainability targets, and product integrity requirements.
