Soccer is the youngest and fastest-growing Sport in NA, with several high-impact Consumer and Sport moments ahead through 2028 and beyond. As we fast approach some of those moments, managing and driving the business around its participant Teams (mainly US Soccer and Canada Soccer) will be essential to our broader success.

Reporting to the GM of North America Men's Sport, your main collaborators will be Nike Soccer team members in Sales, Marketing, Sports Marketing, Merchandising, and Planning across North America and Global. You will also work with the Women's, Kids, and Sportswear Teams and the on-the-ground groups based on Consumer activations and other Brand activities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Principal in Business Development who will work with the Soccer Leadership in North America to develop and implement the Nike x US Soccer and Nike x Canada Soccer Strategic plans across Product, Brand, and Marketplace, with a focus on the 2026 and 2027 World Cups and the LA Olympics.

The ideal candidate has a proven record of leading key business initiatives with clear results, developing and executing plans in highly matrixed environments, and has a strong leadership presence working cross-functionally. The capacity to deal with ambiguity and high resilience will be key to the success of this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

The ideal candidate has worked in the industry at a Brand, Club or League level, or other relatable experience.

  • 6-8 years of soccer business management or equivalent experience
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Proven ability to work with and lead teams across functions

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Senior Principal, Men's Soccer Business Development, you will lead the creation and implementation of the plan for US Soccer and Canada Soccer. You will also be a thought partner to the NA Soccer Leadership Team when building and executing the broader NA Soccer Plans. The following are key deliverables of this work:

  • Create a long-range strategic plan for sustainable growth post-WC26 for both Federations.
  • Co-create the strategic plan for the next 36 months for Canada Soccer.
  • Deliver a quarterly business review both internally and externally.
  • Manage and deliver the WC26 Commercial Plan, including Total Units, Channel and Door Distribution, Flow, and performance triggers, together with Merchandising, Planning, and Marketplace for both Federations.
  • Execute the Integrated strategic plan for USSF and Canada Soccer and lead regular cross-functional Business meetings with internal and external partners such as Women's, Kids', or Nike Community Impact.
