Overview of the Job:

  • Senior MFP(Merchandise Financial Planning ) will play a critical role in defining, shaping and setting consumer demand. You will be responsible for defining and managing multi-season retail sales, receipt, and inventory plans for Consumer Field of Play and Marketplace Unit (MPU) while making adjustments based on its targets and actuals. You will translate insights into action through problem-solving and critical skills. You excel at collaboration and building relationships cross functionally.

Reporting Line:

  • Report to Senior Director, Consumer Planning MENS, GC

Key Partnership:

  • Consumer FOP AP / Finance / S&IP
  • X-CC / MPU / Central MFP Planning
  • Commercial Analytics

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and manage clear end to end multi-season Merchandise Financial Plan for consumer X marketplace units
  • Develop and adjust seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive retail sales, receipt, and inventory to consumer architecture (MPU X CFOP X PE) based on targets and actuals
  • Reconcile merchandise financial plan with assortment plan and align to consumer architecture
  • Optimize business health through a robust rolling forecast process and analyzing data, & providing actionable insights.
  • Analyze and recap the business against forecast weekly, and report on forecast variance with action plans and identify risks & opportunities
  • Support x-functional seasonal planning activities and initiatives, driving clarity to key partners.

Functional Skill Required (Hard skills):

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3-5 years directly relevant work experience (merchandise financial planning, assortment planning or retail planning)
  • Strong command of Retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventories, Revenue and Margin with the ability to manipulate data for efficient outcome
  • Leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
  • Excellent in data analysis tools: Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
  • English proficiency

Experience Required (Soft skills):

  • Strong ability to influence & work constructively with others by communicating effectively. Listens actively and contributes to advance the conversation.
  • Ability to think critically and understand the consumer and marketplace trend as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to collate and understand relevant market data that integrates and informs the Merchandise Financial Plan; assessing risk and solving problems to deliver business results
