WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The Women's Sportwear Merchandising team is looking for a Senior Merchant who is ready to leverage their skills and experience in style intuition and balance this with assortment creation & classification management. We are looking for an optimistic, curious, style-oriented, analytic, trend savvy Merchant, ideally with retail, MPU and/or Geo experience, that has an awareness and understanding of the consumer and the marketplace's ever-changing dynamics.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • 4+ year's experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment.
  • Strong command of common retail and/or digital metrics such as sell-through, margin, full price realization, weeks of supply, etc.
  • Proven ability to translate consumer, sales, trend, and marketplace insights into in-season and long-term breakthrough strategies
  • Preparing seasonal tools to equip your marketplace partners with an understanding of seasonal priorities
  • Experience developing strong working relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners.
  • Great teammate and contributor, with an attitude and excitement to learn new things.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort navigating a cross-functional matrix with an emphasis on influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail, understanding the importance of consistency.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • As Senior Merchandising Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Merchandising Women's Apparel for Sportswear.
  • You will work closely with fellow merchants and cross-functional teams within global and geo merchandising, Product, Planning, and Brand Marketing.
  • You will also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting for your area which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviours.
  • You will build consumer-centric assortment plans with an understanding of the full marketplace, blending fact-based and intuitive inputs. You will participate in seasonal reviews & assortment building in partnership with Geographies marketplace account-focused merchants.
  • You will balance multiple seasons. Your insights will contribute to future season plans and adoption by supporting Gender Merchandising Leadership and upstream partnership within Global Merchandising. You will manage your areas of assortment planning in depth during the seasonal process and gather consumer trends and marketplace insights from in-market seasons.
  • With regularity, you will be balancing your interactions and covering the business needs of the Geo Merchandising teams. Demand and marketplace merchants (ND & NMP) will also be valuable partners for you in bringing business science to life. It is also imperative that you develop strong relationships with your teammates with the Women's merchants across Sportswear and Performance in enabling the broader Women's assortment strategy to life.
