WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will report into the Manager, Material Costing Global, while working closely with Material Vendor Management, Material Sourcing and Global Sourcing & Planning teams. You will connect with Material Development, Costing, Chemical Engineers, Suppliers, and Factory Partners to understand manufacturing processes and associated sustainability initiatives. In your role, you will serve as a key contact for costing trends, reports, and metrics.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with material costing, finance, sourcing, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of footwear construction, material manufacturing, and costing preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining material/product data in an information management system.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Exposure to raw material commodity markets and forecasting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Team player, proactive, flexible and with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to travel 5%.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As an integral part of the material sourcing & manufacturing team, you will be partnering with functional and material subject matter experts to research industry commodities, update costing models, and translate macro raw material trends into finished material cost expectations.

  • You will be responsible for tracking global commodity markets and leading the seasonal material price negotiation, exploring value engineering opportunities.
  • You will help support critical cost management processes and governance through new standardization and tools.
  • Your role will assist the manager in developing material costing strategy and establishing priorities.
  • As part of the role, you will drive and support material cost-saving opportunities.
  • Additionally, you will lead and contribute the material costing projects, such as enhancing the material pricing library and creating vender portals.
