WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
In this role, you will be directly reporting to the Germany Sports Marketing Director, and you will be supported by a direct report, Lead Professional Sports Marketing Clubs & Federations Germany. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with our EMEA & Global functions such as GSA to manage and coordinate the overall product development process from end to end including the presentation and the approvals with DFB & the additional German Clubs & Federations portfolio.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a talented Sport Marketing Clubs & Federations Senior Manager to manage our partnerships with the German Football Association (DFB) and all other assets of the German football Clubs & Federations portfolio. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the football world, including product strategies, and partner management, and relationships building. You'll be key in making sure contracts are executed smoothly and that we keep strong, ongoing relationships with these football assets.
Required skills and experiences:
- Extensive sport marketing experience of at least 8-9 years, especially in the football industry including football clubs or federations, alongside experience in sales or brand marketing.
- The ability to lead high-level discussions and manage important partnerships with senior teams.
- Strong people management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.
- Excellent at building relationships, both with external partners and internal teams.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willing to travel in Germany and abroad (30%)
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- You will be responsible to manage the DFB Sports Marketing contract, to draft and lead the DFB asset plans and to execute it through a cross-functional team to support the brand and the business.
- You will be the leading point of contact between DFB and Nike & the internal go to person for all topics related to these assets to support our strategic priorities such as products, services and business as well as asset leverage to support our brand campaigns and activations.
- Be the principal Nike point of contract for either the German senior men's or wmn's national team. This will involve travelling with the German team, executing contractual rights throughout Germany Camps and International Tournaments.
- Principal Nike point of contact for the respective gender's youth national teams
- As part as the overall asset management, you will be responsible of the whole product servicing model to deliver our free comps / VIK contractual obligations.
- Focus on the management of the overall German portfolio of club/federation endorsements as well as seek, sign & service efforts of the sports assets.
- Review and align Invest/Divest strategies against those portfolio investments for Clubs & Federations
