SENIOR, FOOTWEAR PRODUCT ENGINEER INDONESIA

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is looking for a Senior Footwear Product Engineer to join its team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The candidate is expected to have experience and knowledge in footwear development and manufacturing processes. They should be able to work with different Field of Plays (Dimensions/Categories) at Product Creation Centers (PCCs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in product and process during the creation phase. The candidate should also have the ability to work with other functional teams to reach agreements, assist in decision-making, and promote Nike's best practices in product and process development while maintaining manufacturability.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will work daily with our Product Creation Center's team and Nike engineer to build the best footwear product. You will support establishing and driving footwear engineering's best practices, and leverage Field of Plays (Dimensions/Categories)'s guidelines while utilizing technical capabilities and knowledge to influence product and process excellence development and manufacturing. As part of your role, you will lead high-profile engineering initiatives, mentor and influence engineers at our Product Creation Center, and collaborate with our manufacturing teams to transition our products into manufacturing. Additionally, you are expected to understand and identify engineering gaps at Nike and the factory and drive the use of data-driven process development and project management tools.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will primarily work at our Partner's Product Creation Center (PCC) with cross-functional teams to drive, lead, consult and ensure product/process excellence during development. You will collaborate and communicate with Nike Headquarters (WHQ) Product Engineers to align for decision-making, driving Best Practices, owning quality, meeting design intent, and ensuring correctness. This role reports to a Director, FW Product Engineering Lead based in Indonesia.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 5 years of experience combined footwear manufacturing and technical capability experience.
  • A University degree in related technical/engineering.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of lasts, footwear patterns, tooling, chemical engineering (basic), manufacturing processes and various footwear constructions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of footwear manufacturing machinery, understanding of material properties, test methods, applications, proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, sketches and digital files in 2D/3D.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate (both written and spoken in English) proficiently with multiple stakeholders in high-level communication with positive energy.
  • Ability to drive and coach teams with courage, and influence on mastering the fundamentals.
