This critical role serves the Nike brand and helps accelerate the speed to market for new footwear models as well as serving as a key leader for the Global Footwear team.

This candidate needs to have the ability to influence, motivate, energize, and inspire a global organization. This person also needs to have a track record of working successfully with multiple teams, across functions with outstanding results. Additionally, they should have the demonstrated ability to work across functional teams with clarity, an enterprise approach, and an eye for growth and serving the athlete* and consumers at an industry-leading level.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross functional leaders and work side-by-side with the field of play leadership team to ensure that all our different disciplines are working seamlessly to increase the pace of footwear product creation.

Preferred candidates include the following skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 10+ years' experience in a product, merchandising, buying, sales, trend, or style-related role
  • Creativity and passion for sneakers
  • Ability to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of lifestyle and performance footwear
  • Experience leading nimble, cross functional teams focused on driving results and process improvement
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of footwear construction
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Validated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and timelines
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

In this role you will serve as part of the footwear leadership team and will be responsible for accelerating the speed to market for our most coveted footwear franchises! This person will lead and collaborate globally across all footwear functions to continue to embed Nike's footwear with the next generation of consumer. Having a firm understanding around the footwear product creation and merchandising processes will be essential. This role will be obsessed with not only the consumer, but product detail and blend the art and science of portfolio management and business acumen with inspiring leadership and ambitious vision. With a One Team approach, this role will lead in building a culture centered on that premise, working cross functionally to drive exceptional results.
