WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

This role is the Apparel leader for the Jordan Streetwear Apparel and Accessories team. You will build the seasonal product strategy, lead the team briefing the product line and work closely with your Design counterparts to partner and drive the creative solutions for the season. This role works closely with Global Merchandising to understand the consumer and market requirements and deliver against the quantitative and qualitative goals for the Brand. This role reports directly to the VP of Jordan Apparel but also reports into the VP/GM of Jordan Streetwear Field of Play. (FOP)

Most importantly this person leads the Streetwear Apparel team across Men's/Women's/Kids/Accessories growing, inspiring and taking responsibility for a large, diverse team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our Jordan Brand Streetwear team is looking for a Senior Director of Product who will bring world-class experiences and capabilities to life for our consumers worldwide. We need a leader who will champion the athlete and consumer journeys in all aspects of Nike's strategies and to better serve members personally, at scale across all Nike and Partner consumer touch points. This person will encourage and partner closely with key leaders across the company to evolve mindset and gain alignment on key strategies. Additionally, the Senior Director will lead a multi-tiered Product team to deliver outstanding apparel product, driving maximum business value and operational efficiencies.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
  • 10+ years of relevant Apparel product creation experience in a comparable Brand or Industry
  • Global and relevant Geographical experience and knowledge
  • Proven product and consumer knowledge in Sport Performance, Fashion, Lifestyle or Streetwear industry
  • Experience of leading large teams delivering against business and strategic, timebound goals.
  • A track record of servant leadership, building high performing, motivated teams.
  • Experience and ability to manage matrix organizations and account to multiple leaders.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • Sets FOP Apparel Product strategy, inclusive of business expectations (e.g., line plan partnership, growth, margin, productivity)
  • Know and obsess the consumer in partnership with the Global Consumer GM. Collaborates with GM to identify business opportunities and helps translate them into business realities.
  • Build on initial FOP Product Line Plan from Merchandising and lead Product teams to:
  • Identify additional product details that inform product creation such as color, primary material types, silhouette
  • Manage placeholders in partnership with Merchandising & Product Creation teams to bring products closer to the consumer (Speed and GEL)
  • Ensure reconciliation of product details back to financial targets and strategic framework
  • Create the long-term Product Innovation Roadmap based on FOP strategy, in partnership with the NXT, Inline Innovation, Product
  • Creation and Design
  • Lead the product creation workflow and cross-functional product triad for the FOP (PCC, Design, and Development), driving product excellence, on-time completion at key gates, and the FOP objectives:
  • Drive the creation of compelling briefs that translate FOP insights and strategy into direction for design and development
  • Manage exhaustive style/color details necessary for product creation
  • Manage franchise classification offense
  • Foster strong, integrated partnership with FOP squad
  • Solicit input & expertise for agreed-upon Line Architecture from Merchandising FOP peer & team
  • Partner with Design FOP peer & team to bring new products to life for consumers
  • Brings the long-term FOP vision to life via Consumer-led Product Line Plans
  • Leads Apparel FOP Code moments of Line Planning, BKO, Apparel Product Review, handoff to development, Product Alignment, BOM, GCA, MAR, and GGP
  • Key member of the Global Jordan Apparel Leadership Team and the Global FOP Leadership Team
