Senior Data Engineer - NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Developing action plans and processes, in coordination with management team, for integrating activities and optimizing department resources to meet major goals and objectives; facilitating and performing application support, problem solving, and issue resolution with internal and external resources, and contributing to and reviewing recommendations for technical solutions; managing and contributing to the technical components of the RFP process and resolving issues and determining options for issue resolution and risk mitigation; defining and communicating requirements for technical environments and determining the technical scope for projects, and providing technical estimates for project budget input to the senior/project manager; leading and owning engagements with software vendors to ensure that code and configuration requirements and deliverables are met; enforcing architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments, and coordinating compliance issue identification and remediation; collaborating with other teams on integration needs/designs; contributing to database designs and creating critical-path, high-risk, advanced technical designs; approving proof of concept efforts and reviewing results; enforcing NIKE and department architectural direction and ensuring consistent technical approach within the department; deciding on engineering tools based on recommendations; allocating resources based on performance monitoring and tuning results; managing and enforcing performance thresholds and standards; reviewing and approving performance test results, recommendations, and tuning results; and overseeing the creation of test plans, test execution, and validation of test results. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
