WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a passionate, innovative, curious and team-oriented individual to join our Jordan Brand Marketing organization - focusing on the Chicago marketplace. If you're a self-starter who has a deep understanding of hoops, sport and street culture, and is eager and excited to learn in a fast-paced dynamic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a collaborative spirit. Strong communication skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously are key traits we're looking for. Relationships in the community are key for this role, so the ability to build and maintain relationships throughout the Chicago marketplace will be critical for success. This role lives and breathes at the unique intersection of art and science - It's as much about being able to successfully execute brand activations and touch points, with the ability to connect with and lead on the ground in the community.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, you'll support the team in executing marketing strategies for Jordan Brand's Chicago Team. You will assist the team in creating and implementing Jordan athlete & seasonal marketing strategies, managing seasonal product needs and coordinating with cross-functional teams. This is a unique opportunity to work on product launches, athlete brand plans, key seasonal priorities and activations that strengthen our connection with our key Basketball and Streetwear consumers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Seasonal Product Ordering
  • Seasonal Product Seeding Strategy
  • Seasonal Support to Experts and Lead
  • Meeting Agenda and Recaps
  • Assist in Seasonal Recaps
  • Consumer & City pulse reports
  • Partner with Ops Lead on important internal dates and gates

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work cross-functionally with key partners across the North America and Global Brand Marketing teams. You'll also partner closely with the partners throughout the city of Chicago and beyond. This role will report directly the Chicago Marketing Director.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • BA/BS Degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Communications); or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • 3 years or more experience in a brand marketing role within a cross functional or cross category team is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Proven track record to handle multiple, competing priorities while also remaining detail oriented
  • Outstanding leadership skills to influence functional teams and large cross-functional projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort leveraging art and science to inform plans and decision making
  • Experience working in SAP is a plus
  • Experience with an event agency or large-scale special events preferred but not required.
