WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
The candidate needs to have ability to work independently and in a team and good Excel skills.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you'll be working with controlling and performing the following tasks:
- Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in accordance with company policies
- Maintain accurate vendor records and reconcile vendor statements to internal accounting records
- Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Process bi-monthly payment runs and manage wire payment distributions
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Monitor and maintain aging reports, ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain professional relationships with suppliers
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Support annual audit requirements by preparing requested documentation
- Maintain organized digital filing system for all AP documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report to the accounting manager and work with two assistant controller and one more AP accountant.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree or professional certificate in Accounting, Finance, bookkeeping or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Priority, or similar ERP systems) - SAP R3 preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
