The Scrum Lead II is a member of the Portfolio team reporting to the Portfolio Director and will work with engineering teams, other scrum leads, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure we are delivering quality work with speed while always improving.

The Scrum Lead II is a coach, a change leader, and a teammate who is focused on always improving. They understand agile principles and can apply those to a variety of teams and working styles. The Scrum Lead II can collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders from different cultures and geographies to move work forward and align people to a single vision. Using strong facilitation skills, they can facilitate effective team meetings that create an environment of inclusion and trust while holding themselves and teammates accountable.

- Understanding of agile principles and practices and how to apply these to grow high performing teams.
- 2+ years' experience as a scrum lead, product or program manager, or work with teams using agile practices.
- Experience with Jira, Trello, VersionOne, or other Agile Portfolio Management tools.
- SAFe, Certified Scrum Master, or other professional certifications are a plus.
- Global Team Operational Flexibility: Candidates for this position must be able to adapt their schedules to accommodate off-peak hours as needed. This flexibility is essential for collaboration with our international teams and upholding Converse's commitment to delivering exceptional service worldwide.
- Bachelor Degree or a combination of relevant education, training and experience
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will be accountable for guiding multiple teams through the scrum or kanban framework with a sharp focus on delivery excellence and continuous improvement. You are responsible for helping the team collaborate using agile practices and mindsets, coordinating with other scrum leads to help manage dependencies, and remove blockers.
- Support several engineering teams, leading them through Scrum ceremonies or Kanban practices and enable continuous improvement efforts using agile metrics.
- Lead a technology domain (multiple engineering teams) through quarterly planning activities, including regular ceremonies to build and maintain a domain backlog.
- Interface with business partners and other scrum leads to support a team's backlog development.
- Hold a team to enterprise standards while allowing them flexibility when needed to deliver to their full potential.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Leads and the Portfolio team to continuously improve our delivery practices across Converse Technology
- Provide a point of view on agile ways of working from industry best practices, Nike recommendation, and previous experience to improve our organization!
