WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The Principal, Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Solutions will report directly to Senior Director of Sustainability Reporting, Disclosure and Compliance and is responsible for centrally coordinating a holistic sustainability roadmap and leading the development and implementation of sustainability compliance and reporting solutions. They will work with subject matter teams in Global Sustainability, Technology and Analytics team and partner with other relevant teams as needed (Controlling, Legal, GPA, Technology, Analytics, Product etc.)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role involves aligning efforts, defining and aggregating technology business requirements, coordinating with enabling teams to identify reporting solutions, mapping dependencies, and ensuring high quality & standards. Additionally, the Principal partners with upstream teams to understand the timing and implications of updating external reference data, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

The candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years directly relevant work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in sustainability compliance, reporting, or a related role
  • In-depth understanding of sustainability frameworks, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

The Principal, Sustainability Compliance and Reporting Solutions will develop and apply solutions based on extensive experience. They will initiate analysis and investigation to solve complex sustainability problems. They will also identify the most appropriate options or methods to improve existing approaches.

The most critical responsibilities of this role include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to sustainability regulations and frameworks, such as EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
  • Requirements Gathering & Reporting: Define the requirements to ensure accurate and timely reporting on sustainability metrics, performance, and impact measurement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish robust data management systems and processes for effective reporting.
  • Data Mapping: Oversee the mapping of data from various sources to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Data Integration: Integrate various data sets to ensure availability of comprehensive sustainability reports and analyses.
  • Solution Coordination: Coordinate with enabling teams to identify reporting solutions, and map dependencies.
  • Upstream Partnership: Partner with upstream teams (controlling, legal, sustainability functional teams) to understand the timing and implications of updating external reference data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend process and solutions to optimize data collection, verification, and audit processes.
